Overview

T-800 is a high-bandwidth data glove system for synchronized full-hand motion tracking at 800 Hz. The system integrates 18 distributed IMUs with broadcast-based temporal synchronization and a mechanically isolated wearable structure, aiming to capture fast, contact-rich hand motion without visual occlusion or excessive restriction on natural dexterity.

The platform reconstructs aligned full-hand kinematics from asynchronous sensor streams and preserves fine-grained dynamics that are usually lost under lower sampling rates. The paper further validates the system through high-frequency motion analysis and kinematic retargeting, mapping captured human gestures onto dexterous robotic hand models while respecting their kinematic constraints.
